Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Refunds are processed transparently and depend on the type of service booked and the policies of the airlines, hotels and third-party operators involved. Please read this policy carefully before making a booking.
1. General Refund Timeline
Once a refund is approved, the eligible amount is initiated to the original mode of payment within a maximum of 7 to 10 working days. The actual credit to your account may take additional time depending on your bank or card issuer.
Note: Refunds are always processed to the original payment method — we cannot transfer to a different account.
2. Refunds Depend On Service Providers
Since your trip involves multiple third-party service providers (airlines, hotels, transport operators, activity partners), the refundable amount depends entirely on their individual refund rules and any deductions they levy. Flights: subject to the airline’s fare rules and cancellation charges. Hotels & resorts: subject to the property’s cancellation policy and season. Transport & activities: subject to the operator’s refund rules. Visas, permits & government fees: strictly non-refundable once processed.
3. Non-Refundable Components
Visa fees, e-permits (including Lakshadweep, Bhutan, etc.) and government charges. Travel insurance premiums once the policy is issued. Service fees charged by Dilmah Travel for booking, permit processing and coordination. Any promotional or discounted bookings marked as “non-refundable” at the time of confirmation.
4. How To Request A Refund
Send a written refund request to admin@dilmah.co.in or via WhatsApp to +91 96334 00369 with your booking ID and reason. We will confirm the refundable amount after receiving cancellation confirmations from the concerned airlines, hotels and operators. Once approved, the eligible refund will be processed within 7–10 working days to the original mode of payment.
5. No-Show, Interrupted & Unused Services
No refund is applicable for no-shows, unused hotel nights, missed flights, early check-outs, or services declined by the traveler during the trip. In case of medical emergencies or force majeure, we will help you claim from your travel insurance provider.
6. Force Majeure
In case of trip disruption due to natural disasters, government advisories, pandemics, strikes or airline/hotel closures, refunds will be processed strictly as per the service providers’ policies. In many such cases, credit notes may be offered instead of monetary refunds.
7. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund calculation, please write to us within 15 days of receiving the settlement. We will review and revert with supporting documentation from our service partners.

Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Cancellation charges for any booking made through Dilmah Travel & Tourism OPC Pvt Ltd are governed by the cancellation rules of the airlines, hotels and third-party operators involved. This policy explains how cancellations are handled.
1. How Cancellations Work
When you cancel a booking, we immediately request cancellation confirmations from the concerned airlines, hotels and operators. The final refundable amount is calculated after deducting the charges levied by them and applicable Dilmah Travel service fees.
Note: Cancellation charges are always deducted as per the actual rules of the airline and hotel at the time of cancellation — not on the day of booking.
2. Airline Cancellations
All flight cancellations are processed strictly as per the airline’s fare rules. Cancellation charges vary by airline, fare class, sector (domestic/international) and time of cancellation. Some promotional or deep-discount fares may be entirely non-refundable. Convenience fees, meal add-ons and seat charges are usually non-refundable.
3. Hotel & Resort Cancellations
Cancellations are governed by each property’s cancellation policy, which we share at the time of confirmation. Peak season (October–January, long weekends, festive dates) bookings usually have stricter cancellation rules. For last-minute cancellations (within 48–72 hours of check-in), most properties charge the first night or the full stay.
4. Package Tour Cancellations (Indicative)
For fully customised packages, the following indicative slab applies in addition to airline/hotel rules. The final figure is always calculated on actual charges from partners. 30+ days before departure: minimal cancellation fee, mainly Dilmah service charges. 15–29 days before departure: partial cancellation charges as per airline/hotel policies. 7–14 days before departure: significant cancellation charges (typically 50–75%). Less than 7 days or no-show: 100% cancellation charges may apply.
5. How To Cancel
Send a written cancellation request via email (admin@dilmah.co.in) or WhatsApp with your booking ID. Cancellations are considered effective from the date and time we receive your written request. We will share the final refundable amount within 3–5 working days after receiving confirmations from partners.
6. Changes & Rescheduling
Date changes and rescheduling are treated similar to cancellations — they are subject to the airline’s and hotel’s change/reissue rules and may attract fare differences plus service fees.
7. Force Majeure Cancellations
Cancellations due to reasons beyond human control — natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, pandemics, strikes, flight suspensions — will be handled as per the airline and hotel force majeure rules. In many cases, service providers offer credit notes valid for future travel instead of refunds.
